Hopi Ear Candle Therapy

An ancient Indian technique which originated from rituals and medicinal ceremonies, the Hopi Indians used the candles to induce a relaxed state of mind.  Today the candles are still made by hand using the traditional recipe which includes pure beeswax, honey & herbs such as sage, St John's Wort and camomile.

Hopi ear candles work by light suction, as the flame flickers it creates a vibration of air which gently softens & draws out the excess wax whilst being intensely relaxing.

Eyebrow Shaping

Your eyebrows will be groomed into shape by our experienced therapist using warm wax or tweezers or combination of both depending on skin type.

Eyelash Perming

This is a fantastic treatment if you are tired of trying to ‘flick up' your lashes with multiple layers of mascara or curlers.  This painless treatment will gently perm your lashes into a sweeping curl, which will open up your eyes and make the mornings a little easier.  A patch test is required prior to the first treatment.

Luscious Lashes

State of the art, semi-permanent eyelash extensions for longer, thicker, fuller, natural looking eyelashes.  Resistant to water, sweat, tears, sleeping and sun etc they are weightless for total comfort. They can last for weeks but regular maintenance is required (see price list for details).

Danne Paramedial Skincare

Enzyme treatments will help improve and resolve many skin conditions including ageing, sun damage, acne and scarring.  Danne Treatments work on a principle of reverse osmosis, drawing out all debris and impurities in your living cells, digesting dead cell material  and opening up the vascular system to bring oxygen to skin cells from inside the body.  This encourages your own skin to form new collagen and provides renewed elastin activity.  Enzyme treatments tighten, tone and firm the skin with visible results from the first treatment.

Skin Med

We are pleased to be stockists of Skin Med's very effective range of transdermal skincare products.  We hold their Aknicare range for acne related problems, the Synchorose range for rosacca and sensitive skins and Thiospot for sun damage and pigmentation.  Terproline to rebuild and strengthen skin.  Please ask your therapist for more details.

Waxing

Waxing is a long established way of removing unwanted hair, we use a tube'd warm wax system.  We do this as we believe that this is the most efficient and hygienic way to carry out waxing.  For a full list of all areas we treat please go to the prices section of this site.

Electrolysis

We use a blend of short wave diathermy.  This causes the water molecultes around the follicle to vibrate resulting in the production of heat, stopping the blood supply to the root, which weakens and eventually destroys the hair.  The Galvanic method causes a chemical reaction in the salt and water in the follicle.  This reaction creates a chemical called sodium hydroxide which stops the nourishment to the cells that cause hair growth.  At the Chilston Clinic we employ a combination of both because we feel it creates the most effective, efficient comfortable method.

Manual Lymph Drainage

Is a very gentle, repetitive form of massage bases on pumping and scooping movements, which encourage lymphs to flow more freely around the body.  This renews, nourishes, strengthens and regenerates the cells, removes waste products and relaxes the nervous system.

Alkaline Wash

This removes fine downy vallious hair. It is ideal for people who are not suitable for laser, electroloysis or waxing.  An alkaline paste is applied to the area to be treated; it works by taking the hair to a high alkaline level, thus dissolving the hair and part of the underlying follicle.  It is completely pain free and depending on skin type there might be a little redness following treatment but this settles down quickly.  A patch test is required prior to the first treatment.

Millia

Millia look like small white beads under the skin.  They are deep seated white bumps that form within the skin and can be result of heavy paraffin based cream, high cholesterol or the skin not functioning efficiently in its natural exfoliation.  Sometimes they can disappear on their own, but sometimes, if highly visible on the face people prefer to have them removed.

Teeth Whitening

At the Clinic we offer Laser Whitening which is a prodcedure that is only carried out by a professionally qualified therapist.  The whitening gel is applied then activated by a laser light.  This enables the peroxide to swiftly penetrate the enamel.  Each application takes 10 minutes, with a full treatment consisting of three to four 10 minute applications.  So it is really possible to achieve dramatic results of up to ten shades lighter in your lunch hour!
